Amy Gunther Ellington, the owner of KCDC, claims that Sandy Bodecker's original SB Dunk designs, the pink-bricked structure of the store, and the pink military boots used by New York City's hardcore scene served as inspiration for the Nike Dunk High Pro "KCDC 20th Anniversary."  The sneaker has a pink Durabuck upper with supple black leather Swooshes and quality suede overlays. Gum-bottom bottoms and a looped heel tab with the KCDC logo homage to the appearance of Doc Marten-style boots. Green sock liners with KCDC designs on the interior give the shoe a subtle contrast.
