One of the original four colourways, the Jordan 3 Retro OG "True Blue," was introduced in 1988. It underwent a number of non-OG vintage releases, beginning in 2001, continuing in 2009 (exclusively in Europe), and once again in 2011 as a component of a widespread Jordan 3 retro release that celebrated the 23rd anniversary of the shoe. With the original branding and trademark features that resemble the 1988 release, the "True Blue" made a comeback in 2016.
