The materials and colour scheme of the Jordan 3 Retro "Desert Elephant" are faithful to the original 1988 release of the classic shoe. The upper is made of black tumbled leather with light tan-finished elephant-print overlays as the designer's trademark. The collar, eyestay, and tongue all feature the same neutral colour, with the tongue sporting a red Jumpman emblem as an accent. A visible Air-sole unit is hidden under the heel of the white polyurethane midsole, which supports the mid-top.
